Our association is not an instrumentality of the United States Government and depends on no other organization to be self-sustainable. We are pursuant to the provisions of AFI 34-223. The Long Rangers operate on a military base only with the consent of the installation commander. Our operations are compliant with requirements and conditions of Air Force regulations and our By-Laws and Constitution are availible for review upon request

VETERANS SERVING THOSE WHO SERVE

The Long Rangers is a private veterans' organization serving those who serve at Barksdale AFB and the veterans of the greater Shreveport-Bossier metropolitan area. We strive to enhance the morale, esprit-de-corps, and cooperation between the members of the 307th Bomb Wing, the former 917th Wing and our area veterans. We plan, implement, and coordinate events that will preserve and promote pride among our Veterans and our Active duty, Guard and Reserve members in our communities.
